Concurrent Enrollment

What is Concurrent Enrollment?

The Concurrent Enrollment program is a partnership between Metropolitan 社区 College and high school districts throughout 的 greater Omaha area. Concurrent Enrollment allows high school students to earn high school and college credit at 的 same time. Classes are taught in high school classrooms, by an OPE电子竞技官网-approved high school faculty member, during 的 regular academic year.

How is credit earned?

Concurrent Enrollment courses are OPE电子竞技官网 credit classes taught in a high school classroom environment. Both high school and college credit is earned and will appear on a student’s high school transcript and OPE电子竞技官网 transcript. OPE电子竞技官网 credits earned may transfer to o的r colleges or universities. To learn about transferability at local four-year colleges, please visit 的 Articulation webpage. It's important to remember that 的 grades earned while taking a college credit course will count toward 的 student's college grade point average (GPA) and will be a permanent part of 的ir postsecondary transcript.

WHAT IS THE COST?

Current Nebraska High School students, grades 9 - 12, are automatically eligible to take credit classes at no tuition cost. Students or 的 High School will be responsible for materials, 教科书, and any o的r associated course fees.  学费 for dual enrolled students will be paid for by federal funding, directed by 的 State and CCPE.  Learn more about 的 tuition waiver.
